We arrived in California from Texas with plans for days of ethnic eating. (In Texas, ethnic eating is answered by how you prefer your barbeque or your steak cooked.) I had seen Joe's on Yelp during our pre-trip research. Since we were too early to check in to the hotel, we did lunch at Joe's.

We were greeted immediatly as we walked in and Joe told us to give him a minute and he'd have falafel for us to try. In the mean time, my wife and I each ordered the falafel plate, my 14 yo son ordered the chicken shwarma plate and 12 yo son ordered the gyro plate.

Shortly after we ordered, Joe delivered four falafel to us to try. My wife and I loved the crispy outside and marveled at the moist interior. Bring on the good stuff. . .

I have been craving for Greek food. Luckily, after Universal Studios, I saw this place on Yelp.

My boyfriend ordered the GYROS PLATE and I ordered the FALAFEL PLATE. Both dishes were delicious with good portions! Both plates came with a little salad, rice, spread (depending on what was ordered) and pita bread. The Gyros was delicious and very flavorful. I thought the Falafel was good and cooked very well but could have used a little more spice.

We got excellent service and complimentary bread (which was warm, airy, chewy and good) and watermelon.
